Drishyam Franchise Timeline and Reading Order
Chronological list of the main Drishyam films in Malayalam and Hindi up to the 2026 releases.
The Drishyam franchise began with a single Malayalam film and then expanded through language remakes and sequels that eventually followed separate paths.
Core Malayalam Line
- Drishyam (2013) – written and directed by Jeethu Joseph, starring Mohanlal as Georgekutty
- Drishyam 2 (2021) – same creative team and lead
- Drishyam 3 (21 May 2026) – same creative team and lead
Core Hindi Line
- Drishyam (2015) – Hindi remake, Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar, directed by Nishikant Kamat
- Drishyam 2 (2022) – sequel, directed by Abhishek Pathak
- Drishyam: The Conclusion (2 October 2026) – third and stated final Hindi film, directed by Abhishek Pathak, original story
Other language remakes (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, etc.) exist but are outside the scope of the 2026 releases covered on this site.
By 2026 the Malayalam and Hindi tracks were no longer synchronized in story. The Malayalam third film continues Georgekutty’s arc; the Hindi third film closes Vijay’s arc with a new screenplay. See the comparison page for the practical differences and the homepage for release and cast summaries.
